Being His Wife.....

Nine years ago today.....

I walked down to the lake, and said "I do" to this man.

I became his wife.....

Being his wife means, that for the past nine years, I have had a partner. A friend. A constant support system. A calm, safe place to fall. A listening ear for my worries. A hand to hold. A person here on Earth that God chose just for me.

He said to me one day when Nola {our oldest child} was a week old...

"I chose you and I will continue to choose YOU for the rest of my life"

It was at a time when I needed to hear it most, when life felt so scary...I was feeling a bit lost. I was a whirlwind of emotions both elated about the birth of our first baby, and scared to death at the same time. I felt alone...worried about all the changes I had just gone through.

and he said those words to me and.....

I believed him.

Those words reminded me that I won't ever have to do things alone, that he would always be there....

and he wasn't going anywhere.....

makes me feel like I have won the lottery...
